Install Database

1. The Ban Man Pro™ database is emailed as script file.   Follow these directions to create the database.
   support/SQLnewdb.asp
2. Now add a user for this new database.  support/SQLuser.asp

Install Program

1. Create a directory off of your main web site.  This directory will house the Ban Man Pro™ software so give it a familiar name such as "banmanpro".  For example, if your domain name is http://www.yourdomain.com, you might create a directory called http://www.yourdomain.com/banman
   
   This directory must be made an Application Starting Point so that Ban Man Pro can use it's own Global.asa file.  Click here for instructions on creating an application starting point.
    
2. Unzip Ban Man Pro™ into this directory.  Ban Man Pro™ includes several sub-directories.   You must maintain this directory structure and include the sub-directories.   DO NOT PLACE A COPY OF OUR ZIP FILE ANYWHERE ON YOUR WEB SITE.
    
3. Set the database connection in the web.config file.  The variable is called DBConnectionString.
   
   <add key="DBConnectionString" value="server=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX;UID=BanManPro;PWD=yourpassword;DATABASE=BanManPro" />
   
   Server=The IP Address or physical server name of the SQL server
   UID=The Username you assigned to the database.  The default username is BanManPro
   PWD=The password you assigned to the database
   DATABASE=The name of the database.  The default is BanManPro
    
4. In order to use the file upload utility, you must give the Internet Guest Account WRITE permissions on the ads folder.   Click here for directions on setting write permissions.
    
5. Open the application in your browser (http://www.yourdomain.com/banmanpro/admin/default.aspx) and set the preferences and change the administrative name and password.  The username and password are currently set to Admin1/Admin1. 
    
6. Login and be sure to update the SETUP area to reflect your particular server settings.  The setup defines important parameters used throughout the program.  You can then begin by adding an advertiser, banner, campaign and zone in this order.  Be sure to enter the License key that was provided when you purchased the software.
